It is autumn in Fjord Norway. Corona still has life under control, but we are already looking forward to the year 2021.

Some streets have been closed since the weekend, such as the Trollstigen and the Dalsnibba. Geiranger - Langvatn is also closed at the moment due to storms on Saturday and cold temperatures. Here, too, on the Hustadvika coast, the first snow has fallen on the mountain peaks.

Unfortunately, the Hurtigruten ships are not visiting us at the moment, because there are only two ships sailing and from next week only from Bodø to Kirkenes and back to Bodø. We hope, of course, that the situation will change soon.

Next weekend we will go one step further into the dark season with the time change. At the moment it is dark around 7 p.m. and it gets light around 8 a.m.

The dark season also means opportunities to see the Northern Lights. Even if the best regions for this are further north, from Wednesday the chances are good for our area too that we may be able to see it. The so-called KP index, which shows how far south the aurora oval is moving, increases until the weekend. Now all we need is clear weather.
